Why this is a range
Total length does not show how footage is divided around corners and gate openings. Each straight run rounds up separately. The upper number is a conservative planning count, not an instruction to purchase before field verification.
Gate leaves or panels, frames, hinges, latches, operators, tension hardware, and gate bracing are not calculated.
Height is recorded only. It does not choose board, post, or wire length, rail count, embedment, bracing, or structural requirements.

Simple layout guide
- Sketch the proposed line without treating the sketch as a surveyed boundary.
- Mark every start, stop, and direction change.
- Mark each gate by clear opening width and swing area.
- Subtract gate openings and divide the remaining fence into straight runs.
- For each actual run, divide by the maximum spacing and round up.
- Flag slopes, drainage, vegetation, utilities, access, and gate movement.
