A SMALL FOUNDING-PARTNER PILOT

A clearer website.
A simpler way to run the work.

Moss & Sons helps owner-led service businesses turn the way they actually work into a useful public website, one practical private workflow, or both.

PAID DISCOVERY · FIXED SCOPE BEFORE BUILDING · CLIENT-OWNED ACCOUNTS

OUR FIRST CASE STUDY IS OUR OWN

We needed more than
an attractive homepage.

Moss & Sons needed to explain several kinds of work without losing the heart of the business. Customers needed useful guidance before calling. Daniel needed requests to arrive with enough information to make the next conversation worthwhile.

Behind the public website, the business needed a practical way to keep customers, requests, jobs, expenses, notes, photographs, mileage, and follow-up connected. The website and Work App have continued to improve as real work exposed what mattered.

That is the approach we bring to another business: understand the work, build the smallest useful version, and improve it from experience.

THE BUSINESS BEFORE THE TEMPLATE

Show us how the work
actually happens.

You do not need to arrive knowing whether you need a new website, a better form, a dashboard, or an app. We begin by tracing what the customer and owner really do.

  • 01

What work do you want more of—and what work should the website help filter out?

  • 02

What must you learn before deciding whether an inquiry deserves your time?

  • 03

Where do leads, estimates, information, payments, or follow-ups become difficult?

  • 04

What should remain personal and human instead of being automated?

  • 05

Ninety days after launch, what honest result would make the work worthwhile?

THE FIRST USEFUL VERSION

Build what serves.
Leave the rest for later.

A first phase normally has one primary customer action and, when needed, one internal workflow. Sometimes a clearer page and a better form are enough. We will say so when they are.

01

A clearer service website

Plain language, mobile-first pages, useful proof, and one obvious next step for the right customer.

02

Better inquiry and intake

Forms that collect what the owner truly needs before spending time driving, quoting, or chasing details.

03

One practical work system

A focused private workflow for leads, customers, jobs, follow-up, expenses, or another repeated responsibility.

04

Useful customer tools

A calculator, planner, checklist, guide, or decision aid when it genuinely helps the customer prepare.

A PRACTICAL PARTNERSHIP

Listen. Trace. Build. Prove.

01

Listen

We begin with the owner, the work they want, and the standard they are trying to keep.

02

Trace

We follow one real customer from first contact through payment and follow-up to find where information gets lost.

03

Build

We agree on a small, fixed first scope and build around real services, questions, photographs, and working information.

04

Prove

We test the customer path and the owner workflow, correct what is awkward, and add only what real use justifies.

FOUNDING-PARTNER PILOT

Starting small enough
to do it carefully.

We are opening this deliberately to a small number of owner-led service businesses. The right early partner already has real work happening, knows something in the present process needs to improve, and is willing to test the result honestly.

The first step is a paid Business Blueprint.

We interview the owner, trace a real job, identify the most useful first scope, and put the result, price, responsibilities, and support window in writing before a build begins. No payment is collected with this form.

A GOOD FIRST FIT
  • Owner-operated service business
  • Real customers and a repeatable path from inquiry to paid work
  • An engaged owner who can supply and approve real information
  • One clear public problem and, at most, one first internal workflow
OUTSIDE THE LEAN PILOT
  • Large custom software platforms or marketplaces
  • Complex ecommerce, payroll, accounting, or regulated records
  • Unlimited revisions, indefinite free support, or guaranteed rankings
  • A business still asking the website to invent its service or customers

Customers keep ownership of their domain, primary accounts, business content, and customer data. Third-party subscriptions, ongoing care, and later additions are identified separately.

START WITH THE BUSINESS

Tell Daniel where
the work gets difficult.

This is a fit conversation, not an automatic order. Daniel will personally review the business, the problem, and whether Moss & Sons can offer a sensible first step.
