Every season quietly asks something of us. Spring asks us to plant. Summer asks us to tend. Autumn asks us to prepare. Winter reveals whether we did.
The same is true of life. Most of us spend our days responding to whatever demands our attention—a ringing phone, a leaking faucet, an unexpected expense, a deadline that can’t wait. Before long, life begins to feel like one long series of reactions.
But wisdom has always invited us to live differently. The wise prepare before they must. They strengthen what has been entrusted to them while the skies are still clear.
A roof is repaired before it leaks. A friendship is nurtured before it drifts. A budget is made before money becomes tight. A conversation is had before resentment quietly takes root.
These things rarely feel urgent. Yet they often matter most.
The life you hope to have tomorrow is usually built by the faithfulness you practice today.
That truth lies at the heart of stewardship. Faithful stewardship is not measured by the size of what we own. It is measured by the care we give to whatever God has placed in our hands.
For one person, that may be a home. For another, a business. For another, aging parents. Young children. A marriage. A reputation. Or simply the opportunities found in today.
Each month, The Steward will explore one timeless truth from Scripture and one practical way to live it with greater wisdom. Not because another article will change your life, but because small acts of faithfulness, repeated over time, often do.
My hope is that these pages help you slow down. Notice what matters. Care for it well. And, by God’s mercy and grace, become a little more faithful with each passing season.
