THE STEWARD · A USEFUL LOCAL ERRAND

Where does this go?

A starting point for old paint, tires and electronics in Carroll and Haralson counties.

Start with the item you need to take away. A convenience center, transfer station and special collection day can accept different materials. Confirm the receiving location and terms for your particular load.

Three common questions

Paint and stain

Keep Carroll Beautiful publishes a separate paint-recycling program. Check the paint type, container condition, quantity and current charges before loading. Its September 12, 2026 collection notice is a past event.

Tires

Use the tire-specific program page. Ask about vehicle type, rims, quantity limits, residency and charges; an ordinary household-trash permit does not establish tire acceptance.

Electronics

The organizer’s fall collection was October 3, 2026. Its spring page identifies April 2027 without an exact day. Check the original announcement before planning a trip, and ask about accepted devices and fees.

Five questions can save a trip

  1. Do you accept this exact material, including its condition?
  2. Is my quantity allowed, and are residential and business loads treated differently?
  3. Do I need proof of residency, a permit or advance registration?
  4. What will the whole load cost, and how can I pay?
  5. Where do I enter, and what is the last accepted drop-off time?

For a dated collection, check its organizer again before leaving. A calendar can retain an old “next event” label after the collection has passed. This guide does not advertise an unconfirmed replacement date.
