What is collected. The pilot collects contact details, book and rights information, Reader Profile answers, private source files only when authorized, samples, project files, customer decisions, problem reports, quotes, costs, and Stripe payment identifiers. Moss & Sons does not store card numbers.

How it is used. Information is used to review eligibility, prepare and review the requested edition, communicate with the customer, collect payment, deliver private files, handle problems, and measure the Reader Editions pilot. Manuscript text and private profile comments are excluded from general website analytics.

Private handling. Source files and delivered editions are kept in private object storage and served only through request-specific access checks. Customer access links should not be forwarded. Administrative access is limited to the private Moss & Sons Work App.

Modern tools. Moss & Sons will not intentionally use customer manuscripts to train a public or general-purpose model. Any approved production provider must be configured or contractually committed not to train on customer content and to limit retention.

Pilot retention targets. Incomplete intake records are marked for review after 30 days. Rejected or unverified uploads are targeted for deletion promptly after notice. Source and working files are generally retained through the active project plus 30 days; samples and delivered editions may remain available for up to 12 months. Payment and rights records may be retained longer when required for accounting, legal, or contractual purposes. During the pilot, deletion review is verified manually rather than represented as an infallible automatic process.

Your choices. You may ask Moss & Sons to correct contact information, rotate a private access link, close a request, or review deletion of content that is no longer needed, subject to legal and accounting requirements.
