READER EDITIONS · A MOSS & SONS PILOT

The same work.
A reading experience shaped for you.

Some books hold stories or ideas we want to stay with, yet their vocabulary, pacing, or structure can make reading difficult.

Reader Editions prepares carefully reviewed adaptations of eligible works, shaped around how you read and designed to preserve the work's story, argument, facts, characters, conclusions, and important qualifications.

NO PAYMENT REQUIRED · ELIGIBILITY REVIEW FIRST · HUMAN-REVIEWED WORKFLOW

THE PRODUCT IS THE READING RELATIONSHIP

Quiet technology.
Careful publishing work.

The technology stays mostly behind the scenes. What you receive is not a novelty or a button-pushed rewrite. It is a reading edition shaped from a clear profile, compared with the source, and checked before delivery.

The authoritative original always remains available for reference. Condensed editions are clearly labeled as abridged, and added explanation appears as a Reader Note.

HOW IT WORKS

Four plain steps.
You stay in control.

01

Choose an eligible work

Select a listed title or tell us about a manuscript whose rights you control. Every exact source is reviewed before adapted text is prepared.

02

Shape your Reader Profile

Choose the pace, vocabulary, paragraphing, reading level, and amount of explanation that help you stay with a book.

03

Review a free sample

Compare a short authorized source passage with its proposed Reader Edition. Ask for changes or decline. There is no charge.

04

Approve and order

Once the sample feels right, Daniel confirms the price and sends secure Stripe checkout. The complete edition is then prepared and reviewed.

BEFORE YOU PAY

See the difference.
Then decide.

ORIGINAL · AUTHORIZED SOURCE EXCERPT

The exact original passage appears here with its source edition identified. The original remains authoritative.

The wording, order, claims, and qualifications can be compared directly.

YOUR READER EDITION · PERSONALIZED SAMPLE

The same passage appears here with the approved reading changes—clearer vocabulary, shorter paragraphs, or labeled Reader Notes.

Approve it, ask for adjustments, or close the request. No payment is taken first.

SHAPED AROUND YOUR READING · FAITHFUL TO THE WORK

A profile may change the reading features.
It may not invent the book.

Every complete edition has a fidelity review. The checklist is a careful standard, not a promise that adaptation can never contain an error. If something is wrong, the customer can report it from the private library.

Remember the Day by Daniel Moss

A CURATED STARTING SHELF

Begin with a book you know—or let the shelf help you choose.

The library now includes Remember the Day, an author-controlled Moss & Sons title, plus 300 popular, English-language classic editions. Search by title or author, or choose what sounds good—shorter, adventurous, mysterious, or rich in faith and ideas.

The shelf preloads useful metadata, not full texts. Every exact source still receives a rights review before a personalized sample. You may also bring an eligible work whose rights you control.

REQUEST YOUR FREE SAMPLE

Tell us about the work—and how you read.

Submitting a request is free. We review eligibility before preparing adapted text. You will not be asked to pay before seeing a sample.

The exact source remains subject to rights review before a sample is prepared.

Why we ask

Buying or possessing a printed book, ebook, library book, or file does not ordinarily include adaptation rights. Public-domain status can also differ by country and edition.

2 · How do you like to read?

Choose every characteristic that would make it easier to stay with the work.

Condensed editions are labeled Condensed Reader Edition — Abridged. Added guidance appears as a Reader Note, not as the author's words.

3 · Reading touchstones OPTIONAL

Name up to three writers or books whose readability you enjoy. We use these only to identify broad traits such as clarity, warmth, pace, vocabulary, or sentence length. We do not imitate a named writer or imply their involvement.

4 · Eligibility and privacy

By submitting, you agree to the Reader Editions pilot terms and privacy notice.

PLAIN ANSWERS

What Reader Editions
will—and will not—do.

Are all library titles already approved?

No. A library listing is a discovery record, not automatic rights clearance. Daniel verifies the exact edition, translation, embedded rights statement, and United States eligibility before preparing any personalized sample.

Can I upload any book I bought?

No. Owning a printed copy, ebook, or file is not the same as owning adaptation rights. Complete Reader Editions require a cleared public-domain source, customer-controlled rights, or written permission.

Is this an automatic AI rewrite?

No. The pilot uses a manual eligibility, sample, approval, production, and quality-review workflow. Technology may assist the work, but the product is the reader's better relationship with the book.

Will it copy my favorite living writer?

No. Optional reading touchstones are converted into broad characteristics such as clarity, warmth, pace, or sentence length. A named voice is advertised only if a future licensing agreement truly authorizes it.

What happens to a private manuscript?

The initial form does not accept one. If Daniel authorizes an upload, the file is stored privately for the request, excluded from public analytics, and handled under the Reader Editions privacy and retention notice.
