How this order works

Activities opened by the most readers in the last 30 days come first once at least three browsing sessions have shown interest. New or quieter listings follow our editorial order. Your town and interest filters always apply.

Opening visit details counts once per browsing session. This measures interest on this website, not attendance or ratings. Check current hours and prices with each operator.

Popular first · 1 matching idea

Showing 1–1 of 1. Choose a town or interest to narrow your options.

Places and activities are listed separately from dated calendar occurrences. A venue listing does not confirm a program, ticket, opening day or available space for your visit. Maps use the listed destination or a clearly labelled area search; check the visitor entrance and parking with the operator.

Berry College campus, fall walks & wildlife

A walking outing near Rome for fall trees, campus scenery and possible deer sightings. Try the arboretum tree walk or part of the three-mile paved Viking Trail. Wildlife sightings vary. Gunby Equine Center is closed to general visitors except competitions or a reservation; a campus visit does not include a horse or barn tour.

Cost: Rome’s official tourism guide lists free campus entry for the Old Mill and nearby trails. The $25 annual gate decal is optional. Museums, reserved facilities and events may have separate charges.

Map & directions

Enter through the main Welcome Center visitor lane; ask the greeter for the correct visitor parking and trail map.

Plan: Public campus hours: 6 a.m.–7 p.m.; use trails in daylight. Enter the right-hand visitor lane with a valid driver’s license. Berry does not specify license scanning on its current visitor page. Ask for a map and current closures; managed hunts close some trails, with the Viking Trail excepted. Picnics require reserving Keown pavilion (706-368-6789) or an official event; ordinary picnicking elsewhere on campus is not authorized.
