Douglas County trash & recycling
Find the county dump and transfer station, the separate Douglasville recycling center, and household pickup help near Douglasville and Winston.
Find a place to unload
Choose an item and the county where the waste comes from. Location is optional.
Call before loading to confirm access, your whole load, fees and today’s hours.
Choose a common item, or search by name. For a mixed load, add the other materials below.
Add materials for a mixed load
Listings must fit every selected material. If no place fits, separate the load and check each material on its own.
Choose the county where the waste comes from. Other counties’ resident-only sites stay hidden.
For mattresses, cooling appliances, paint and electronics, only listings with item-specific guidance appear. Other facilities may accept them; call the county if none fit.
Access, matching & location privacy
Choose Business / paid cleanup for business waste, contractor work or paid hauling. The facility decides how your load is classified. Household selection does not waive permits, quantity limits or fees.
Location can suggest a county; it does not establish residency. Nearby public facilities still have load rules and charges. Published acceptance has conditions. “Call to confirm” means the reviewed source does not establish acceptance of this material. A material match is not approval for your whole load.
Location is optional. Coordinates stay in this page’s memory and are not included in search links or inquiries. Street-map tiles come from OpenStreetMap for the area shown. Distances are straight-line estimates, not driving routes or travel times. The location dot and road-area pins are approximate. Clearing location or leaving the page discards your coordinates.

Weekly trash pickup at home
Check your exact address: a city mailing address does not establish that your home is inside city limits.
Inside Douglasville city service: 770-920-3005 or residential waste service for carts, collection and separately arranged bulky-item pickup.
City curbside recycling carts are no longer used; recycling is available at the drop-off center. Outside city service, confirm an independent hauler’s coverage at your exact address.
Fees and who can use the site
County household refuse: $10 through 500 lb, or $8 with recycling; residents’ heavier loads $60/ton. Out-of-county: $21 through 500 lb, then $0.04/lb. Construction/demolition or clean vegetative waste: $80/ton. Ordinary recycling-only loads: no charge; special-item charges still apply.
Choose the right place for your load
County site: refrigerant appliances $16 each; tires through 17 inches $5, larger tires $15. Electronics exclude TVs/monitors. Lithium-ion batteries, hazardous waste and liquids are prohibited. Separate recycling and yard waste; cover and secure loads.
City recycling center: clean paper, flattened cardboard, #1–2 consumer plastics, aluminum/steel cans and glass bottles/jars. No general trash, furniture, appliances, mattresses, construction waste, bags/film, propane tanks or single-use batteries. Open to residents and nonresidents. Read city recycling rules.
