THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST
Come to Jesus Christ.
Saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
We have all sinned against GOD and need His mercy. Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. He is our righteousness and our hope. Turn to Him in repentance and faith.
Salvation is GOD’s gift. Our good works cannot earn forgiveness or make us right with Him. The grace that saves us also changes us, teaching us to love GOD and our neighbors. We share this as people who need His mercy too.

A PASSAGE TO READ SLOWLY
Grace before our good works.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8–9 · King James Version
Read Ephesians 2:1–10 in context
Paul begins with people dead in trespasses and sins, then turns our eyes to God, rich in mercy. Salvation begins in His gracious action. Faith receives what our work cannot earn. Verse ten then gives good works their proper place: God creates His people in Christ Jesus to walk in them. We can lay down boasting and serve with gratitude. A quiet day is a fitting time to thank Him for mercy and consider whom we might love well.
Read together. Leave room to listen.
Read the passage aloud, whether you are with family, a friend, or on your own. Ask: How do verses eight through ten place grace, faith and good works in their proper order? Leave room for each person to speak. Ask GOD for understanding and for grace to obey His Word.
Share a simple meal, listen to someone who is hurting, or visit a person who is lonely. Ask how you can show the love of Jesus Christ in an ordinary act of care. Our acceptance before GOD rests in Christ and His finished work.
A simple prayer
Father, thank You for Your mercy in Jesus Christ. Forgive our sins. Teach us from Your Word, give us faith in Your Son, and help us love the people You have placed near us. Amen.
