Outdoor day and weekend passes are available by advance arrangement, especially on the 18-acre Wilderness Retreat side. Come to notice wildlife, explore the approved woodland area, bring a picnic, or spend quiet time beside the river. Choose the property and visit that fit your group.
Tell Daniel your preferred dates, number of adults and children, activities, vehicles, and whether you want to stay overnight. We will confirm the property, price, visit hours, permitted uses, and what is included before you make plans to arrive.

Passes require confirmation; this page does not show live availability or take payment. Weekend dates and any overnight access are agreed in advance. Directions stay private, and visits stay within the approved property boundaries.
Interested in hunting on the wilderness side? Use the separate private hunting inquiry for the proposed family-access program. Hunting requires its own review and written approval; an outdoor or camping pass does not grant hunting permission.
QUIET TALLAPOOSA RIVER DAY · WEEKDAYS
A simple private place to spend daylight beside the Tallapoosa without booking an overnight campsite. The opening setup accepts Monday–Thursday arrivals for up to four guests and two vehicles, with Request to Book and advance notice. Hipcamp shows the current calendar, price, arrival window, rules, photographs, and private directions.
NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH HIPCAMPThis is access to the booked property for the uses and hours stated in the listing. It is not a public Dub Denman launch, a shuttle, guided float, kayak rental, monitored trip, rescue service, fixed-duration experience, or promise that swimming or other water activity is safe.
Use the Tallapoosa River Companion to open official sources, make a private trip card, build a pack list, and think through family safety. Booking and trip planning remain separate; Moss & Sons does not receive your Companion card or monitor the day.
Open the free River CompanionConfirmed guests at the developed Hideaway property may consider beginning at the private property and ending at the source-listed Poplar Springs public access. Owner-reported rough planning estimate: approximately 5–6 hours in some past conditions. River level, current, wind, stops, obstructions, skill, and takeout conditions can change that substantially. It is not field-verified for current conditions or promised.
This is not a public put-in. Only registered guests may use the private property, and exact directions stay in the confirmed Hipcamp booking. Guests must independently confirm that Poplar Springs is open and lawful for takeout and parking that day, check current river, weather, access, and water-quality conditions, bring proper equipment and life jackets, and confirm a dependable way back to their vehicle. A booking does not include a shuttle, guide, watercraft rental, route monitoring, or rescue.

YOUR TALLAPOOSA RIVER HIDEAWAY
A peaceful site beneath mature trees with a 16′×16′ elevated deck, 16′×30′ covered pavilion, fire pit, full 50-amp RV hookups, water, sewer, and direct access to the Tallapoosa River.
The driveway is steep. Vehicle suitability depends on the road and weather; 4WD is strongly recommended when towing and after heavy rain. Confirm vehicle and trailer fit through Hipcamp before booking.
THE TALLAPOOSA HIDEAWAY · WILDERNESS RETREAT
A primitive, self-contained camping experience surrounded by the river on three sides, with nearly 3,000 feet of frontage, hardwood and pine forest, wildlife, and space to find the campsite that feels right for your group.
Four-wheel drive is recommended, especially in wet conditions. Bring drinking water, a camp toilet, recovery basics, and everything needed to pack out responsibly. Confirm current vehicle suitability through Hipcamp.
